CARLYLE TOWN BOARD.

A special meeting of the above Board was held on Monday evening Inst. Bresent — Messrs Sherwood (in the chair), Aitchison. Coutts, Milroy, Taplin, and Williams, Uesolntion calling meeting was read. Moved by Mr Milroy, seconded by Mr Taplin, and carried, “ That, the election of two members of the Harbour Board take place by ballot, and where two names are equal, the casting vote to be taken by ballot.” The undermentioned gentlemen were nominated, and received votes as follows — John Mil my' ... ... ... (> SamneJ Taplin ... ... 4 Donald Coults ... ... 2 Messrs Milroy md Taplin were therefore duly elected. The Secretary ,vas instructed to write to the Colonial Secretary informing him of the election of Messrs Milroy and Taplin as members of the; I’atea Harbour Board. Also to write to the Secretary of the I’atea Harbor Board to the same etfccti The meeting adjourned.
