NOMINATORS AND SECONDERS.
(To the Editor of the Patea .Mail.) Sir, —Will you kindly inform me and other ratepayers, if a Returning Officer" ought or ought not, by law, when reading out the names of gentlemen nominated, to read also the nominators and seconders, as we would like to know if they were really ratepayers. —I am, &c., A RATEPAYER.
(To the Editor of the Patea Mail.) Bib, — Hearing that Mr G. F. Sherwood,, at the sitting of the County Council, ac--cused the members of the Patea West Road Board of squandering away the ratepayer’s money. lam sorry that your paper !" cannot afford a reporter, so that we could see what he really did say. Now, lam not a member of the above Board, but consider it ought to be made public, so that any ratepayers could challenge him on it. If I was a member, I would quick, as big as be is.—l am, &c., A PATEA WEST ROAD' BOARD ELECTOR.
