ELECTION OF HARBOR BOARD.

(To the Editor of the Patea Mail.) Siu, —The Local Elections Act,- 1876; provides that not less than fourteen' clear days’ notice shall be given of an election. In consequence of this provision of the Act not being complied with, I believe the Harbor Board election for the Otoia and Hawera Hidings, to be held on the 11th instant, may be declared void. Eouitceu days’ notice was given of an election to be held on the I2th February, but only eight clear days of one to be held on the 11th. If I am incorrect,- I shall be glad to be corrected.—l am, &c.-, AGRICOLA.
