Mr Travers brought up the report of the Privileges Committee, and moved that the House concur in the report, and that the resolution be embodied in the report. A scene of great disorder followed—McLean, Atkinson, and Moorhouso trying in vain to ask a question of the Speaker. He said ho would put the question.' A committee meeting of the Patea Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held at the secretary’s office, Carlyle, on Saturday last. Present — Messrs IX Coutts (in the chair), —Newland, H, Williamson, R. B. Pearce, A. Hunter, E. R. Morgan, E. M. Honcyfield, J. Morton, J. Dickie, jam, J. Gibson, and R. E. Mcßae Minutes of previous meeting read and confirmed. Motion of which notice had been given by Mr Honeyfiekl, as to the Kakaramea paddock being vested in tho County Council, was at tho request of tho mover, allowed to stand over for three months. Messrs Newland, Hawes, Dickie (jun), Morton, and D. 11. Williamson, were appointed a sub-committee for carrying out all preliminary arrangements for the Show to be held at Waverloy.

The following class stewards wore nominated and duly elected : —'Cattle—A. Johnstone and A Dasent ; Sheep—C. Symes and D. H. Williamson ; Pigs, Poultry, and Produce —A, Hunter, 0. Hawes, and J. Gibson ; Implements —J. Morton, and J. Dickie (jun) ; Leaping Match—K. E. Mcßae and E. M. Honeyfield. It was decided that first prize cards should be blue, and second prize cards white, and that no animal should be entered in more than one class except horses one of which might be entered with another to make a pair. Besides'‘the above a considerable amount of detail business was transacted. Several new members were added to the Association, and the committee separated apparently well satisfied with the interest being shown in the coming event, and hopeful that the meeting would prove a success.
