DEFINITIONS WANTED.
(To the Editor of the Path a. Mail.) Sir, —In reading the programme of the forthcoming Agricultural Show, I notice a prize named for Fresh Butter. I, with others, would like to know what FRESH Butter means. Is it with-or without salt i Also, does hot Potted Butter mean Butter with a little salt—and Salt Butter, with a lot of salt.' Then, proceeding further down the programme, I come to rule No. 4which we are entirely in a-gog about, as I saw by the paper that Mr Goutts 2nd exhibit of butter took 2nd prize at the last show. I hope the chairman of committee will make the matter as explicit as possible, through your columns, as early as convenient, as the time for the show is nigh at hand, then exhibitors will know what to show. —I am, &c.- , SUBSCRIBER. Hawera, October 25, 1877.
