THE Mass intended for Patea next Sunday, will be postponed till the following Tuesday, the 23rd instant, on which day it will be celebrated by His Lordship BISHOP REDWOOD, at 10.30 a.m. ; and a sermon will be preached by the Rev Father Hcuneberry, who will thereby open in that place a three days’ mission, preaching twice daily. This short mission being over, His Lordship and the Rev Father will proceed to Hawcra, whore the mission will bo opened on Sunday, 28th instant, at 10.80 a.m. His Lordship being on his pastoral visitation, will give Confirmation to all children prepared for it. Confessions will be heard at any time during each mission. Catholics arc strongly exhorted to attend the Missionary’s sermons as often as possible, and avail themselves of this rare opportunity for making their peace with God, if they should have been living in a state of sin and neglect, fer “ What shall it avail a man to gain the whole world, if ho should lose his own soul.” E. Each application must be accompanied by a deposit of £2O for every IUO acres applied for.
