WOODVILLE ROAD.

(To the Editor of the Patea Mail.) Sir —It seems very strange that the members of the Patea West Road Board (especially Messrs E. R. Morgan and Hunter) should want us to subscribe towards making a road to our place. They have, no doubt, the same amount, or more, than in any former year, at their disposal. I have very carefully gone over the minutes since the abovenamed gentlemen have served on the Board. When they wanted a road made to their land, there was never a resolution for either or both to subscribe to assist the Board, but now the road is not so bad up to either of their places (bear in mind there has been a lot of money spent on the portion of road up to their places), now, a thing they could not see to do, they want ns to do. Who would not put such people into office to spend bur rates ?—I am, FAIR PLAY.
