[to the editor of the fate a hail.] Siu —I sec in your report of the above Board, that tenders were opened from Messrs D M. Harris and John Whelan, but Mr Hirris was accepted. 1 would like you to inform ratepapers of the above district why Mr Harris was accepted ; also, where lies the mistake, or blame, that the amount of tenders were not advertised. Are not the amounts recorded in the minute book? or is it an oversight of yours in copying.—l am, PATF.PA VER.
