MANUTAHI.
A correspondent has kindly furnished the following : A meeting was held at the Blockhouse) Manutahi, on Saturday, the 23rd instant) to appoint trustees to take over the tenacre section for cemetery, from the County Council. The chairman said the Council were willing to take the reserve from the Waste Lands Board, and had passed a resolution to that effect, and it was now their place to say whether they would have it vested in themselves or not. The meeting were unanimously of opinion that this should be done. After some discussion Messrs Foreman, Wright, Ginger, Morgan, and Hamilton were elected trustees, and the meeting closed after a vote of thanks to the old committee. The trustees held a meeting afterwards, at which, Mr Foreman being in the chair, a resolution was passed that the Chairman and Secretary-should have an early Interview with the Chairman of the County Council, and find out all details connected with the trust. The chairman was requested to call a meeting at as early a date as possible, to communicate the results of the interview with the Chairman of County Council.
