RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
Thursday, June 14. (Before O. A. Wray, Esq., R.M.)
Adjourned Case. —James Fair-weather v. Adam Sergeant. Case adjourned for a week, at the request of defendant, to admit of an important witness being present (Mr W. Williams.) Claim for Board. —Charles Edwards v. William Hamraerton ; claim, £9 13s 6d, for board, &c. Defendant (who is the same person that was brought up for horse stealing on Tuesday last) admitted the debt, but urged his inability to pay at the present time. It was elicited from defendant, through questions by the R.M., that he had handed over to his uncle the horse that the dispute was about. His Worship recommended defendant to pay the claim without any further trouble, and gave judgment for amount and costs.
