TOWN BOARD NOMINATIONS.
(To the Editor of tlie Pate a Mail.)
Sir—l must certainly congratulate you on your temperate article re Town Board
Election, and trust that you will in tha future lend your, aid in the attainment of fair and economic management. Exposure of abuses would generally prevent things of this sort occurring. Your correspondent, signing himself “ Broad Arrow,” is such an efiusion that one would expect from the signature. “ Nemesis ” must, certainly, be a political fortune hunter. “ Mahomet ” certainly deserves the bow string. Mr Wilson says, if lie can get work to ao, he is willing to do it—and considers this a reply to all scurrilous reflections on his character. One would have thought an earthquake had dislodged Patea, or partly. The accident Mr Wilson met with through a bucket falling on him, should have been an affair for the party dropping the bucket, rather than for the hospital. Charity should begin at home. Mr Wilson I saw the other day, I presume profitably employed, in mending fences for one of his nominators. I think it very improbable that a man that can mend fences in a district like this, will require to turn his coat, or suffer from the whip.—Yours, OKE POKE.
