[Per Press Agency.] WELLINGTON. May 9. James O’Shea, merchant, has suspended payment. The causes of his failure are heavy losses on home shipments and bad debts. His liabilities are £22,000. A meeting of creditors will bo held on the 17 th inst. May 11. Telegrams relating to a tidal wave have been received from the following places: —Poverty Bay, Gisborne,Napier, Lyttelton, Akaroa, Tim am, Camara, Port Chalmers, and the Bluff.
