PATEA WEST ROAD BOARD.
[to THE ED IT OK OF THE TATE A MAIL.] Sir, —I was rather surprised at a letter in your issue of the 27th ins!;., signed “Hew Chum.” 1 can scarcely think “ New Chum ” can he a ratepayer, or an elector, or lie would not have written such a letter, or at least some portion of it, which relates to the Road Board. I think it is only justice to all ratepayers, and electors, to hoar the proceedings of the Board —not what is untrue —hut the truth of their meetings. 1, for one, with others, prefer the minutes of the meetings being reported, in preference to “New (Jlmm’s ” ghost yarns, and love stories ; hut, if possible, give “ New Chum ” his yarns and the ratepayers the minutes, — 1 am, Ac., ONE OF THE COMMISSIONERS.
