THE .Mountain road being now opened for Stock and other traffic, persons will find it to their advantage to take this route .in preference to the coach road, as it saves a distance in travelling of about 40 miles. The rottd is formed for half the distance, bridges are constructed over the principal streams, and excellent approaches are made to the different creeks, so that travelling is now comparatively easy. The distance by the coach road from Patera to New Plymouth is 100 miles ; by way of Inglewood, 60 miles. A SERIES of LAND SALES is being held in the Province of Taranaki under the Waste Lands Board of the Province, the Lands offered being Town and Rural Allotments, the latter varying in area from 20 to 320 acres, and the conditions of the sale being by DEFERRED PAYMENTS extended over Ten Years, by Auction, for CASH ; and by FREE SELECTION for CASH.
