PATEA WEST ROAD BOARD.
A meeting of the above Board was held at the Board’s office, 'Carlyle, on Monday last. Present Messrs E. R. Morgan (chairman), Wilson, Hunter, Gane, and Mcßae. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The sub-committee appointed to inspect Taumaha Boad, reported that two tenders were sent in for the work, viz., Thomas Allan, iillTOs, and D. Wilson, £ll 10s. The latter’s tender was accepted. An application was read from G. A. Marchant, asking for extension of time for completing works on Garsed Road. Proposed by Mr Hunter, seconded by Mr Wilson and carried—“ That the time for completing the works be extended till 12th October next.” The following tenders were opened for works on upper portion of Garsed Road — <l K. G. Alander, £74 ; J. Baxter, £GS. Proposed by Mr Mcßae, seconded by Mr Gane, and carried—“ That Mr Baxter’s tender be accepted, on condition that he ■ finds the necessaiy security, and that 3 months be allowed for finishing the work.” Account passed for payment—“ T. Delamore, for repairing Garsed Road, £3. T1 ic Board then adjourned till Monday, the 3rd July.
