[Per Albion.] MELBOURNE. May 9. Ship Milhvall, from London, reports that the steamer St. Osytlx put into Table Bay on 29th March. Minister of Lands received reports from the warden at Tlowett, concerning operations of prospecting parties in North Gippsland and Omeo districts. One report states that all tributaries of any note, and all low-lying levels, have been prospected without gold or minerals being found. The desirability of finishing a book upon the manners and customs of aborigines, commenced by Brough Smythe, lias been determined upon by the Chief Secretary. Smythe will be requested to complete the work, as a considerable sum of public money has been spent on it. HOBARTON. May 0. Tlio last Tasmanian aboriginal, Lallah Rookh, died of paralysis, ago, 72. She was queen consort to King Billy, who died some time ago, aged 71. Lallah Rookh was under care of Mr .Dandbridge, whom the Government allowed £BO a year for her maintenance.
