[Per Press Agency.]' WELLINGTON. May 16. The promoters of the Rangitoto Silver Mining Company have been veryjsuccessful in disposing of the shares allotted for Wellington. Two severe shocks of earthquake were felt last night at Queenstown, accompanied by a rumbling noise. The duration of the first shock was about 10 seconds, and the second about 20. Direction of wave, west to east. NELSON. May 16. An inquest was hold this morning on Simmons. The jury returned a verdict to the effect that death was caused by an overdose of chloral.
