THE LATE LAND SALES.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE PATEA KAIL. Sir, —Could you inform the public why, at the late land sale, the customary road of one chain wide was not reserved for public use on the bank of the Patea river, it struck many of your readers as being very singular, the Patea river being navigable. The earlier a public- road is proclaimed, and the above cloudy omission rectified, the better. I am, &c., OBSERVE 11.
