A mooting of the members of. the Patea District Jockey Club was hold at the A’hion Hotel on WednosJay evening last, Mr 1!. K. Mcßae in the chair. Between GO and 70 now members were balloted for and elected. The sub committee appointed to draw up a programme for the forthcoming mooting, and a sot o£ rules for the .guidance of the chib, brought up their report. The programme submitted, and the Wanganui rules, with trilling amendments, were adopted, Messrs Mcßae, Wilson, Bowdrell, Bmadbent, E. Jb Morgan, Dr Croft, and Major Turner, were elected as stewards. Mr lb K. Mcßea was appointed treasurer, Mr G. F. Sherwood secretary, and Mr 11. I. Davis clerk of the course.
