ANNUAL LICENSING COURT.

PATEA AND WAITOTAEA DISTRICT. The annual meeting of the above court was held at the Court House, Carlyle, yesterday. Present—Major Turner, R.M. (Chairman), Capt. Wray, and G. W. Williams. K. Price, hotel at Wairoa to be called the Wei come Stranger, was refused, on the ground that the application was not sent in in time. Jenkins & Co., bottle license, Ketemarae, granted. A. C. Fookes, bottle license, Wairoa. The bend* acted the same wav this year as the Wanganui Licensing Court acted last jyear in the case of Mr Richardson, and granted the application.
