TAKU KUPU, katu ake nei. He mea ake naku, ki nga Eangatira: He mea nui noa atu tenei mea te Aroha, i waihotia iho hei pupuru ma tena Eangatira, ma tena Eangatira. "He mea ake naku, ma te Atua tonu e tiaki." He mea ake naku ki nga Iwi e toru nei, ki nga Matariki, ki nga Manukura, ki nga Whakamarumaru, koina nga tangata tiaki ote Putea nei. I puta ano ia ia tenei kupu, ma te Atua tonu e tiaki. He mea ake naku, ko tenei mea ko te Aroha, kaua e purutia ki nga Maori anake, engari Aroha ana ki nga Maori, Aroha ana hoki ki nga Pakeha. Eo tenei mea ko te Aroha, ka okioki, ka okioki kite tangata. Waihoki ko te tangata, ka okioki, ka okioki kite Atua. Ko tenei mea ko te 'Pakanga' kua whakahokia noatia atu ki Tawahi; kei reira e takoto ana:— He mea ake naku ki nga Eangatira nei, kia ata titiro mai; kia tika tonute titiro mai. Me mutu taku kupu i konei. (Kia Ora tonu tatou katoa, me nga Pakeha hoki, ma te Atua tonu tatou katoa katoa e tiaki, mo ake tonu atu : Heoi nei aku kupu.
