MOSGIEL DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL
JUBILEE COMMITTEE. The final meeting of the Mosgiel District High School Jubilee Committee was held ’in the scliool last week, Mr H. Millar presiding over a fair attendance of members. It was decided to make up the sum of £lO towards the memorial to the late Mr Donald M'Leod, and a committee, consisting of Messrs F. Breinner, M. Hendry, W. T. O. Kaye, J. F. Frew, A. Hendry, was set up to deal with the matter. The donation of £lO to the picnic fund was refunded to the School Committee. As a mark of appreciation of the services of the Taieri Pipe Band and the Municipal Brass Band, a-donation of £1 Is was made to each. To complete the jubilee celebrations it was agreed to expend £lO in the purchase of suitable trees for planting by ex-pupils, and £l5 was set aside as a subsidy towards a jubilee number of the school magazine. The secretaries—Messrs A. Mitchell, J. Owens, and H. L. M'Kinnon—were thanked for their services, and £2 2s was granted to each.
Arrangements were made for handing over the, jubilee rolls and the balance of the funds to the Ex-pupils’ Association.
