A donation of £22 6* 5d for the Earthquake Relief Fund has been received by the Alayor of Christchurch (Air D. G. Sullivan, AI.P.) from Sauerman Bros., machinery manufacturers, of Chicago. Copies of newspapers giving an account of the earthquake were sent to the firm by Booth, Alacdonald, and Co., Ltd., of' Christchurch, and they forwarded a donation of 100 dollars, which has been exchanged into its equivalent in English, money. The Alayor expressed appreciation of the firm’s action in sending the donation to the fund.
