BOXING HARVEY’ BEATS HOOD. LONDON, June 23. Len Harvey retained the middle-weight boxing championship by outpointin'; Jack Hood in 14 rounds at the Albert Hall. AUSTRALIAN WELTER TITLE. SYDNEY, June 27. At the Leichardt Stadium Rus Critcher (10.7) won the Australian welterweight title from Wally Hancock (10.6) on a points decision over ten' rounds. WRESTLING. SENSATIONAL FINISH TO CONTEST AUCKLAND, June 22. The most sensational finish to a wrestling match ever seen in Auckland occurred in the Town Hall to-night when in a professional match Scotty M’Dougall defeated Tom Alley by two falls to one. M’Dougall hurjed his opponent through the ropes in the second round, and when Alley clambered back he was thrown heavily with a forward chancery. M'Dougall completing the fall with a body press and armbar.‘ Alley gained a submission fall with the crucifix in the [ fourth round, and hjd nis opponent very groggy with a series of headlocks and dumps early in the sixth. The crowd was calling to the referee to stop the contest when M'Dougall took refuge in a corner. Alley went after his opponent, who suddenly swung up his feet, and sent Alley sprawling in the centre of the ring. Alley landed on his head and lay motionless. A few seconds expired before M‘Dougall was able to throw himself on to the prostrate body of Alley and secure the deciding fall to the accompaniment of deafening cheering. Both had to be assisted to their corners.
