William Richard Holmes, aged 46, postmaster at Mount Eden, was charged in the Police Court at Auckland on Tuesday last with stealing £5O, the propertj’ of the Postinaster-general. He was remanded till June. The police said he had admitted that the defacations were £6OO. Bail was fixed at £5OO.
