Although his immigration permit expired in April, 1927, Wong Sek Yan, a market gardener, failed to leave Neyv Zealand. The Collector of Customs, in a prosecution at "Wellington on Wednesday. said he yvould have pressed for a heavy penalty, but, oyving to the fact that the defendant yvas suffering from an incurable disease, he would be content to ask for deportation. The necessary order was made, the defendant to leave on June 12.
