HEALTH OF SCHOOL CHILDREN.
MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS. CH3ISTCHURCH, September 7. At a meeting of the North Canterbury Education Board to-day a communication was received from the Wellington Board containing the results of the medical examination of children attending a typical school in the Wellington district.. It was also desired that the; board would take some action in favour of the adoption of th-i scheme' of medical examination. Air C A C Hardy (chairman) said that in© board had recommended the d>epartnren6 to take action, but the Minister had not dore anything. The board were fujly ano to the importance of the subject. Ha rroved that the Wellington Board be informed of the steps previously taken by, the board. Mr Hardy's motion having beei. carried, he then moved that the board again approach the department and. uree the adoption of the system of medical examination. The motion was agreed to unanimously.
