I RESOLUTIONS OF OTAGO BRANCHES. At a meeting of the Lawrence Branch of the Farmers' Union it was resolved that , the Otago Provincial Executive be urged ; to bring the bag question under the notice lof the Minister of Agriculture, with a | strong recommtndatoin that farmers should be allowed to revert to the use of the full j capacity of the 44in by 26iin grain Back • The Clinton branch resolved to ask the Provincial Executive to take up the question of woolbrokers selling wool after 10 o'clock at night, and expressed it 3 objec- , tion to the praotioe. x It was stated that at one^ sale laet season wool was sold up to 4 o'clock in the morning.. The Maniototo branch resolved—" That the Ota-go Provincial Executive draw the attention of the Government to the amount of gorse in the river beds in different parts I of this district, and also to the amount of ■ sweetbriar on some of the sheep country , of Maniototo. and that the Government be , asked to devise some means of clearing it or getting it cleared."
