WAITAHUNA FARMERS' CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Waitahuna Farmers' Club was held on Monday, , August 30, when (says the Tuapeka Times) thei>e was a large of members, Mr R. M'Corkindale (president) being in the chair. The annual report stated that the show in December was • unfarttnmte as to weather, but a, Buecees in •point of entries and the quality of exhibits. The local creamery had been better supported during the season. The number of sheep put through the club's dip during the year was 11,006. The telephone service between Lawrence and Waitahuna had not made any call on the club's guarantee, and an extension to Dunedin was awaited. The olub'a membership stood at 53 — an increase of 10. The balance sheet showed receipts to have been £275 4s 7d, including a balance of £36 13a 3d from the previous year, and the balance carried forward this year was £46 3s 9d, in addition to which £50 is on deposit at the bank.
