'A most successful gathering was held- in lihe Canton. Dining Booms' orr Saturday j evening, when the Otago Hussars entertained the B Battery at a smoker concert. 1 Lieutenant Hastie. of tihe Otago Hussars, occupied the chair, and tine following officers were present: — Captain Morris, ! Captain Ritchie, Lieutenants Sh-and, i Roberts, Mackenzie, and Ewen. There was a big attendance of members of both ! oompani-s. The following toasts were honoured : — " The King." " Army and Navy," "B Battery Football Team." " Hussar Football Team." " The Referee," and "The Supporters." The .following contributed items : —Driver Algie, Corporal Don, Bombardier Thomson, Driver M'Kefctick. -Troopers Patterson. Graham, Clark, Mitchell, Sloan, and Quartermaster-ser-geant West, who also acted as accompanist.
