NEW ZEALAND FRUITBROKERS.

CONFERENCE AT WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON, September 6. The second annual meeting of the New Zealand Fruit Brokers' delegates opened this morning, Mr F. Townsend presiding. The following are representative delegates :— Wellington— The President (Mr F. Townsend) and Messrs E. B. Bristow, F. W. Haybittle, C. A. Griffiths, A. W. Press, W. Brown, and D. F. Skinner (secretary) : Danedin— Messrs A. Moritzbon, E. O. Reilly, S. Moss, and T. Pattrsoe; Christchurch — A. M'Farlane, J. Marshall; Auckland — Messrs A. E. Glover, M.P., A. Tooman, and T. Howarth. The business of the morning was takea v by with the president's address — a formal and brief item, — the presentation of the balance sheet, and the election of officers, which resulted as follows : — President, Mr F. Townsend (re-elected) ; executive — Messrs Thompson (Wellington), M'Kay (Invercargill), Haybittle, Griffiths, Brown, Paterson, M'Farlane, Tooman, and Howarth. Mr D. F. Skinner was leelected secretary. The conference is not open to the press. During the sitting Mr Tooman will read a paper on "The Past, Present, and Future of the Fruit Industry," and Mr Glover, M.P., will give an address on " The Eastern Pacific Trade."
