I Mr W. L. Baillieu, of Melbourne, in a letter to The Times, recommends that Great Britain assist Australia in increasing her popolation. It was' true that various -selfish, short-sighted interests were opposed to the introduction •o£ strangers to Australia, even though they} came from Brilain, but these were in the minority.
