FLOODS IN JAVA
LONDON, September 4. Floods devastated Loemadjang, in the district of Probolinngo, in Java. Five hundred people perished. The district of Probolinngo is on the north coast of Java, about 45 miles southeast of Surabaya. The population is 9700, including 600 Europeans.
