PALMERSTON AND WAIHEMO A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

At the annual meeting of the Palmerston and Waibemo A. and P. Association Mr H. O'Neill, who presided, referred to the lc*s sustained by the death of Mr / Donald M'Leod, Aho had been one of the oldest members of the society, and had been elected a life member in 1906. The annual report stated that the last show had been a success, although there had been a falling off. in entries. The sum of £100 5s was paid out in, prize money. During the year six pens for fat stock had been erected. The annual horse parade proved a success, ten stallions being on parade. There was a balance to the credit of the society on 30th June of £57 17s 4d. Ross; vicepresident, Mr Roderick M'Kenzie; eecre- j tary, Mr Wra. M'Gregor (re-elected) ; treasurer, Mir W. B. Galloway (re-elected) ; field steward, Mr Souter ; auditor, Mr Crisp ; committee^ — Messrs J. Chapman, A. Fleming, A. Fraser, A. Gillies, D. Guffie, E. Lefevre, J. Ormsby, T. Rendall, R. Riddle, J. Sloan, T. Stenhouse (all reelected), and W. Lory, H. O'Neill, and J. Morrison. Mr T. Muir was elected a Hire mesnbeir in recognition of his long and vahiaole services. Votes of thanks were passed to the retiring officers and a bonus of 10 guineas each was voted to the secretary and treasurer. Mr O'Neill suggested that some arrangements should b& made for having the dairy produce exhibited on the ground. Owing to its distance from the ground very few people went to the courthouse to inspect the I exhibits. After discussion, it was decided I to loa^e the matter in the hands of the com- ' I mittee. I
