A GRATEFUL FAMILY.

On June 25 our Wellington correspondent in his v telegram about the distress among the uttsanployed reierred to the case of a family in. . the suburbs m * destitute condition living in * a whare. A correspondent signing himself IsuS Sed forwarded a post office order for 10s for the family in question. This -was .orwarded through our correspondent to a charitably-disposed lady in Wellington who was doing, her best to relieve oases of distress. We have now received the following acknowledgment: — Dear Sir, — I have received a postal note for 10s, kindly and generously contributed by a reader of your newspaper, who signs himself " Nuff SeeL" I hay« forwarded it to the family in question, and they ask me to convey their grateful thanks to their unknown friend. I a* thankful to say that the husband has regular employment, though of # a veryem all description, and although their necessities are no^ co tragically pressing as they were they axe so poor they , wera thankful with a few extra shillings.
