I DENIAL OF INTENTION TO RESIGN/ NAPIER, August 17. On being interviewed concerning a report from Wellington bf his contem- " plated resignation, Commissioner Dinnie gave it an unqualified denial. He had, he said, already contradicted 'the statement, and the Minister of Justice followed the same course. " The statement may be- contradicted again?" asked the reporter. . " Yes ; there is no truth in it," replied Mr Dinnift. *
