OBITUARY.
SIR THEODORE MARTIN. LONDON, August 18. Sir Theodore Martin, author of "Life of the Prince Consort" and "Queen Victoria as I Knew Her," and a personal friend*, of the late Queen, is dead ; aged 93 years. Sir Theodore Martin, X.C.8., was born in Edinburgh on September 16, 1816. He commenced practice .as a .solicitor in Edinburgh .in . 1510, *nd cofl4*mted in business there until 1845, when he removed to London, where he acted- as a parliamentary agent in the-, passing' of private- bills tift the time of his. death. He was rector of St. Andrew'^ University in 1681. He was the author of ft large number of publication^ ,
