PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.

The regular monthly meeting of the Peninsula Road Board was held on the 7th, and was attended by Messrs .M/LTurdtf (charrman), Black, Aitken, Brunton, and Riddell. Mr Trot was present in support of ai* application -to have some repairs effected at Tainui. — The matter was left in the hands, of the chairman to have the work attended The clerk was instructed to write to the Bay Town Board requesting it to have the outlet channel cleaned, as some complaints regarding its condition hud been received from residents of Tainm. ' ' Mr Gourlev wrote asking k> have the ditcn cleaned along the Main road, bounding his property at Anderson's Bay.— lt was d«cide<F to instruct the surfaceman, to attend vO tn« John Robertson, Sandymount, wrote asking the toaxd to take over the road leading to Miss Robertson's property at SandyTnount--The clerk was instructed to obtain tn«opinion of the board's solicitor, and report* at next meeting. Mr Riddell gave notice that he would mova at next meeting that the minute referring to roada being formed and metalled De* ore being -taken over by the boaard be rescinded-. The clerk was authorised to obtain 21 bushels of poisoned grain. Accounts totalling £66 5s 3d were passedi for payment.
