AUCKLAND v. POVERTY BAY.

WELLINGTON. August 15.

The representative Rugby football match •between the Auckland and - Poverty Bay provincial teams was played in ideal weather before en Attendance of about 3000 persons. The Aucklanders were, minus the services of the leading players, who are absent with the Ponsonby team, now returning from the Sydney tour. Auckland won a game full of interest and incidents by 12 points to 8. The pick of the visiting backs were Fitzgerald (fu>l*, Ryland, Pollock, and Miller (three-quarters), and Watchorn and Kaipara (five-eighths). Of the forwards Low, Beaoh, and Nicholas. The visiting team were entertained at & theatre partr on Friday. They leave by the Main Trunk express this evening in continuation of their tour to Wanganui and Hawke's Bay.
