SIR J. G. WARD.
LONDON, August 9. The King received Sir Joseph Ward, Prime Minister of New Zealand, at Buckingham Palace to-day.
August 10.
Sir Joseph and Lady Ward will leave London on the 21st inst., and will embark on the Makura at Vancouver on September 10.
Sir Joseph Ward, Colonel Foxton, and Mr Collins visited the King's Colonial Uegiment on Salisbury Plain, and, after an inspection of the lines, they made speeches. There are many Australasian members in the regiment. Sir Joseph and Lady Ward lunched "with the Prince and Princess' of Wales at Marlborough House.
August 11
During ' the King's conversation with Sir J. Or. Ward his Majesty gave the Prime Minister a message for the Dominion expressing his great satisfaction at its progress and patriotism.
August 13. The Imperial Maritime League entertained Sir J. G. Ward to lunch.
