The Master of Elibank, Parliamentary Secretary for India, has warned the Indian agitators of the Government's deliberate intention to maintain order and to remove them, if necessary, from their present sphere of activity. Tbo Anglo-Indian newspapers strongly;, commend the Master of Elibank's declara* tion and firmness. The Extremists- have endeavoured to '■ .Introduce a seditious propaganda into the ' native states. The MahaTajali of'Gwalior f was determined to crush the movement afc the outset. He therefore liad 35 agitators arrested and tried. Four were sentanced to seven years and- 28, to shorter^ terms of imprisonment. "•
