WANGANUI, August 6. \ Fredk. Moorhou.se w=s arrested yesterday in a st-ate of helpless intoxication and remanded for a week fox* medi< al tic-atment. He strangled himself in his ' cell lah.t night. The deceased had been ' di inking heavily lately, and early yesterday morning broke into a hotel. He was arrested evidently in a state of mental derangement, and labt night tore his shirt in strips, as he lay in a padded cell, ' and strangled himself. The deceased "was about 40 yeaers of age, and leaves a wife and three children. j
