HASTINGS, August 6. ! At the annual meeting of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club Si- W R. Ru«=ell (president) said that ths racecours? property was free from encumbrance, and there was a credit balance of £308. The money paid in stakes last season was £7,490, an increase of £970 on the previous year, ami the amount received from bookmakers was £2173. The present officials were le- j elected.
