There was a large yarding of stock, and, as ii usual -the week before the Grand National, there- were special consignments of fat stock and the first new lambs of the season. There was a large attendance. Fat cattle and store sheep sold at the previous week's rates. Fat hoggets brought about the same prices, and new season's lambs sold well Prime and ' extra prime fat sheep sold veiy well, but I there was little demand for export, and ' under-weight wethers were easier, as were unfinished v.-ethers and ewes. 1 The yarding of store sheep was larger than ; last week, and was made up principally of ewes, and generally of better class than usual.
