WELLINGTON, August 4. More assisted immigrants will arrive bj the Corinthic, due here on August 10. There are 151 of them, to say nothing oi ' unassisted third class passengers. 01 the assisted passengers 116 are adults and35 children. It is understood that th« assisted immigrants who are sent out by t the High Commissioner are mostly domestic servants. The others were nominated by friends in New Zealand, who hold themselves responsible for the new ar-» rivals not being thrown on to the rates. Nominated passengers (included in the assisted) are represented by 60 adults and 29 Children. The occupations of the as< sisted passengers are 31 domestic seix vants, .15 farmers, 11 farm labourers, three shepherds, and 23 wives and familiet. joining their breadwinners, who ar« ' already here. The capital declared by the new arrivals ranges in amount from £25 to £380. AUCKLAND, August 5. Another batch of immigrants, totalling 140, arrived from England by the steamer -, Devon late on the 4th. Forty-eight of the number are for Auckland, 35 for t Wellington, and 25 for Port Chalmers.
