BRISBANE, August 9. The festivities in connection with the j celebration of Queensland's jubilee of j responsible government were commenced | to-day. j The chief event was the unofficial opening of the national agricultural and industrial show. The official ceremony will ' be performed by the Goveruor-'ieneral i on Wednesday. Both as regards the 1 number of entries and the excellence of ' the exhibits the show is a record. ; Visitors are flocking into the city.
