CLEARING SALE.
Messrs Siionach, Morris, and Co. report having heM <a clearing sale on Friday, 6th dnst., at Pigeon Flax, Mount Cargill, on Account of the Public Trustee in the estate of John MrPetridge (deceased). There was ft record attendance of farmers in tbe vicinity And othe-rs from ■Khe, Peninsula, Sesusliff, Wai3oou«iti, and Port Chalmers. The stock were offered without reserve, and. as they were* all in good condition, the sale proved to be one of the best we have held in the ■iistxict for some time. Foi every beast coming under the hammer, especially for cows close to profit, there was spirited competition, the result being a most successful sale. The following are a few of the prices obtained:—For 21 cows, the best brought from £5 17s 6d to £7 ss; good, JE4 2s 6d to £5 10s; late calvers. £2 10s *o £3 17s 6d; 1 bull at £3 12s; bullocks from £2 13s to £& ss; heifers, to £3; yearlings, fromi £14« to £1 9s; 1 colt, £16; spring-cart, £6 7a 6d; heriM* sundries, etc., at very satisfactory prices.
