ARTHURTON.
March S. —A much-needed rain fell here this week, harvesting operations being suspended for a few d!ays. The rain was much appreciated by the farmers, who were in need of it for the turnip crops. Mtost of the crop in this district is cut and stocked, -fend the farmers are busy leading in. The crop is a very good one. . General.—The addition to the railway station is now almost completed. Rabbits seem to be very plentiful, and judging from appearances this should be a good season for xabbiters.—Fishermen have been busy in the district lately, but fish seem very scarce. After the rain which fell there should be aD improvement in that respect.
