During February 4415 bales of flax, valued at £18,000, passed the Government grader at Auckland— an increase of lfiO tons on January, the highest of the present season, which began in June. The grade has been fairly good during the month, but owing to the small market between fair and good fair grades many millers have been turning their attention to fair quality instead of good fair. The difference between the two grades has been 'as low «s 15s, whereas- at the lowest it | should be 50s.
