STr PETERSBURG, February 27. The Czar, when receiving 305 deputies at Tsarskoe Selo, thanked the Duma for assisting him to maintain law and orderHe emphasised the importance of improving the peasants' land tenure, but the right of property must be respected.

A court-martial at St. Petersburg has tried the terrorists who were arrested irt connection with the plot at Vibotg to assassinate the Grand Duke Nicholas and other high personages.
Seven persons, including two women and a young Italian journalist named Calvino, who was arrested while carying a bomb, have bees 6en.te.noed to death.
